“This view always fascinates me. On this particular day, the late afternoon light seemed to make everything glow in a way I’ve never quite experienced before. I painted this partially from a sketch and from memory. I’ve been looking at some color palettes that John Folinsbee used repeatdely and I was inspired and influenced by his work for this painting.”
