Come find your unique self. Paint 4 Tuesday mornings with full instruction including a 45 minute demo. I will show you how to think quickly and to express yourself with your own unique marks on the canvas. Alla Prima painting is a direct approach to painting. The artist works to complete a painting in one session, painting one brushstroke over and into another. I’ll teach you how to think and focus only on the essential elements of all good painting. By painting directly and focusing on just shapes, values, color and edges, we learn to express ourselves in paint in a manner that no one else can copy. It is this uniqueness of expression that resonates with the viewer and the collector alike.
Painting locations will be announced weekly. We will paint around the Portsmouth Seacoast area as well as the Kittery, York areas of southern Maine. We will always paint at a location that has parking and accessible bathrooms nearby.
