This photo was taken in May 2023, two years after I migrated to Europe to join my partner, and two days after we got married in Denmark.
Migrants as well, the colorful beach pebbles you see came to Denmark thousands of years ago. They were carried there by icy glaciers that left them behind when they melted - subsequently picked up and positioned by myself.
The image captures a fortuitous moment when the legacy of this fascinating geological history and some unexpected shadow play came together to paint an endearing portrait of joy.
Since then, and partly inspired by my time in Denmark, I've embarked on a new career in nature conservation. In July 2024, I'll have the privilege of attending a two-week program at Hustai National Park in Mongolia, where I'll be learning innovative ecological and biodiversity management techniques. All proceeds from the sale of this poster will be used to fund my trip.
Your support is greatly appreciated!
